American Service Pets - iTrain Academy
Challenge: American Service Pets provides a product expediting the certification for service animals and emotional support animals. However, due to new regulations, many dogs will now need to be trained as service pets, moving away from the emotional support animal business line.
Opportunity: Build a subscription service that will enhance month-over-month revenue by engaging their premium customer base and reaching a wider audience with a valuable standalone product. This venture not only promises a predictable revenue stream based on a subscription base and growth trajectory but also positions the company to competitively offer specialized training. Customers stand to gain from this initiative by accessing a new platform for premium PSA training and the ability to transition their animals from ESA to PSA status affordably, ensuring compliance with ADA requirements.
Product Strategy: After requirements gathering, we began design work, UX work, and user stories for the eCommerce API integration, subscription processing, and LMS build. We found an influential trainer, filmed and edited the content, integrated the LMS, authored the courses/assessments/certifications, and then placed the offer into multiple customer purchase flows.
Results: American Service Pets gained a brand new revenue stream and customers gained a new product in which they could reach their service pet goals. Annual revenue increased by 42%, as customer take rates were sky-high. Average order value increased by 28%, and customer lifetime value increased by 12%
